SATURDAY FROM 8AM TO 5PM
SANTANA CORE - PETAR (Bairro da Serra / Iporanga)
*BETHARY TRACK: very beautiful track that starts at the guide station (Santana core), crosses Ribeirão
Furnas and follows along Bethary river in the direction of its source. In some points, it is needed to cross
the river through the water. The whole track is 3,6 Km which is completed, on average, in 4 hours. Along the
track it is possible to observe different rock formations, soil and types of vegetation with their specific fauna.
*ANDORINHAS WATERFALL: it is 25 meters high that impresses for its beauty and for the strength of the
water falling, forming a huge swirl. It houses many swallows that go all together flying in certain moments of
the day. The access is through Bethary Track, being at the end of it, usually after 4 hours of walking.
*BEIJA-FLOR WATERFALL: beautiful waterfall with a large volume of water that forms a delicious natural
pool. It is approximately 30 meters high and is located 100 meters from Andorinhas Waterfall. The access is
through Bethary Track, after approximately 4 hours of walking.
* BETHARY RIVER: raging river that has rapids going through the Valley that has its name, until its end at
Ribeira de Iguape River. This is where buoy cross started, and the place offers several levels for the practice
of the sport.
*AGUA SUJA CAVE: this cave is located 1,2 km from the guide station (Santana core), and the access is
through Bethary Track. The indoor track starts in the main entrance and follows the course of the water,
passing by several rock formations. This track has approximately 400 meters and we pass through big
stalactites, travertine and a wind tunnel.
SUNDAY FROM 8AM TO 2PM
OURO GROSSO CORE - PETAR (Bairro da Serra / Iporanga):
*ALAMBARI DE BAIXO CAVE: this cave puts together the beauty of its formations and the adventure of going
through it with the water level at the waist. To get there, there is a track from Bairro da Serra and it takes
approximately 50 minutes until the entrance of the cave. The crossing until the other side of the hill takes
about 2 hours, in an 890 meters stretch inside it, mixing dry tracks and others with water. The return is
through the cave, it is not possible to get out through the small entrance.
*OURO GROSSO CAVE: this is called "adrenaline" cave, known for its waterfalls that create deep wells inside
the cave.
*FIG TRACK: this track takes you to the entrance of Ouro Grosso Cave and passes through a centenary fig that
grew around a huge limestone rock. Unforgettable experience.
